My take on the best rides and attractions Hollywood Studios has to offer:

ROCK 'N' ROLLER COASTER STARRING AEROSMITH

This is a great thrill roller coaster set to the music of Aerosmith. Part of the thrill is you ride in the dark and can't see the track at all, so you don't know what the coaster is going to do next as well as three inversions (two rollover loops and one corkscrew.)

TWILIGHT ZONE TOWER OF TERROR

Based on the famous television show, take a ride on an elevator in an abandoned hotel where a group of patrons once disappeared on a “stormy night.” Be prepared for a thrilling ride as you are unexpectedly propelled up and down the abandoned elevator shaft.

STAR WARS LAUNCH BAY

Star Wars fans can take an immersive tour of this gallery featuring costumes, models, artwork, and even authentic movie props. This attraction gives you an opportunity to meet Chewbacca and Darth Vader!

STAR TOURS: THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES

This 3D simulator experience features your favorite Star Wars characters as you venture out with C-3PO as your “accidental” pilot when your flight launches prematurely. Be prepared for some simulator turbulence as your ship is intercepted by the First Order who are searching for a Rebel spy on board!

MILLENIUM FALCON: SMUGGLERS RUN

This attraction allows you to fly the Millennium Falcon. There are three “jobs” onboard – pilot, gunner, and engineer. The pilot definitely has the best view yet the most difficult job. You might want to give younger children the job of gunners as that's the easiest job. Engineers sit in the back, but unlike the gunners, they get to do more than simply hit a couple of buttons.

STAR WARS: RISE OF THE RESISTANCE

From start to finish, this ride is quite an immersive experience. You become a prisoner of the First Order. The cast members running the ride never break character making the experience unlike any other.

Be prepared for a trackless ride as you escape from the clutches of Kylo Ren and the First Order. Also, be aware that there is a small drop near the end of the ride.

SLINKY DOG DASH

This family-friendly roller coaster features some of your favorite Toy Story characters and what makes it so interesting is its attention to detail on every aspect of the ride.

INDIANA JONES EPIC STUNT SPECTACULAR

Unless you have an interest in how Hollywood blows things up when making a movie, you might want to give this show a miss. The show gives you an inside look at how movies create action sequences as well as seemingly dangerous stunts.

BEAUTY & THE BEAST LIVE ON STAGE

This 30-minute live show features a shortened retelling of the entire fairy tale. It's a cute show for the little ones.

50's PRIME TIME CAFE

If you're a Boomer, you're going to LOVE this restaurant! While the food is good, it's the experience you go for at the 50's Prime Time Cafe.

You will be transported back to your childhood and what we ALL heard at the dinner table:
"Get your elbows off the table! Were you born in a barn?"
'You eat everything on that plate. There are starving children in Africa you know!"

"You're not moving from this table until you eat all of your vegetables!"

Our server slipped right into the role of "Mom" and my sister and I swore our stepmother had come back to haunt us! But the more you play into this act the more fun you'll have at the diner.

Photo credite: All Ears

The menu consists of typical 0's comfort food. We both ordered the chicken dinner and it was very tasty. (We did get our WE CLEANED OUR PLATE stickers)

The decor is fantastic, all genuine 1950's. Barb and I had to laugh when we saw the 1950's GE refrigerator as my parents still had that exact refrigerator in their lake house. When I replaced it (it being somewhat of a family legend) some of my relatives were upset.
Barb and I had our photo taken in front of that refrigerator just to show our parents.

As we were leaving the restaurant we ran into two older British women who said they'd just eaten at the Prime Time Cafe - and they were NOT happy campers! They each had a salad and a drink and paid over $100 for their meal!

Turned out there's a second entrance to the Prime Time Cafe, more like a cafeteria or something? But they weren't in the same restaurant we were in and the same food was WAY more expensive than in the Prime Time Cafe restaurant we ate in.

So make sure you go in the FIRST entrance to the 50's Prime Time Cafe. This entrance...
