My dad instilled the travel bug in me before I was even out of diapers.
By the time I was in high school, I'd been to every U.S. state but Alaska, had seen much of Canada and Mexico.

As an adult, I had to figure out ways to fund my own travels around North America. I became a discount diva, figuring out ways to travel on a budget.

While I was still working in law enforcement, I found myself with a side business that I stumbled into quite accidentally, giving theme parties for the neighborhood kids. Before I knew it, I had a waiting list of clientele wanting me to plan theme parties for them and their kids.

In the mid 2000's I'd meet my sometimes travel partner, Jay who is also now retired. Soon we were joined by his great niece, Ashley - whom he'd plan a vacation for as a birthday present each year.
In order to save some money here and there, Jay went out and bought a 35+ foot long luxury RV (complete with space to park a car in the rear end) that I call "The Beast". It did make traveling much easier and less expensive, especially on the occasions we had Ashley and her friends along. At any rate...
I began thinking Why not do themed travel trips for Ashley? Jay thought that was a fantastic idea - as long as I did most of the trip planning! LOL (There's always a catch...)

I've detailed a lifetime of trips on here, including ones taken before I met Jay and we began traveling together.
They include my travel adventures and "misadventures" that I hope you'll find amusing as well as informative.
I've also included tips and tricks for you to make your own travels less expensive as well as some Money $aving Tips for the individual travel destinations.

But most importantly, I'll give you themed travel ideas combined with themed party ideas that you and your family can use to celebrate those special occasions and create lifelong memories - without breaking the bank and that are geared toward children. After all, what greater gift can we give our kids than a lifetime of wonderful memories? And essentially, that's what travel is all about - creating lifelong memories.

The articles on each trip on this site are long. I apologize for that but my web host limits the number of pages I can post.

With that being said, let's get packed and begin creating lifelong memories!
